GLASGOW!!! :D
Im currently sitting in my friend Louises flat, waiting for her to finish her preperations for lawclass on tuesday. I usually write in norwegian, but right now my brain is functioning in english so its easier to just stick to one language. And the computers keyboard is english as well ![]()
Glasgow is SO nice!!! A lot of old buildings and castles and churches, and really cosy restaurants and pubs. On friday we were actually ment to go out, and we started off meeting Laura and go to this fancy pizzaplace (were we actually had to show ID to get in and have pizzas), before we went back to Louises to get dressed. There were quite a few people going out, so i think we phoned about five taxies, and two of them turned up after about an hour, but then the time just when on and on, and we tried to call the taxiservice back and ask them how long it would be, until we gave up around half twelve (and TWO hours after the first ones arrived!!). But as we walked into the corridor towards Louises room, the firealarm went off, and we had to stand out in the freezing cold for half and hour while the firedepartement checked all the floors. Still no taxies, so we desided to have a cup of tea and then go to bed.
Saturdays shoppingday!! After having a lie-in and a small breakfast, we went into town to start getting some serious shopping done. And i must say that im really good at shopping, cause i actually bought almost everthing i tried on, and i managed to find a pair of jeans that i liked, RIGHT AWAY!!! buying jeans is usually so hard! I also ended up with a leather jacket (christmas present from my mum, and MUCH cheaper than in norway), two really nice tops, a book with beatrix potters complete collection of stories, PJ’s and a bunch of socks. We spendt so much time in topshop, that it had actually gone dark once we were finished. Since Louise was going to this really fancy maskaradeball we didnt have much time, and when i had done her hair, i went to meet up with Amy and spend the night at hers. We ended up walking from the subway station in the pouring rain, and we were both soaking when we got there. Therefor we just had a cup of tea and dried off before going to a restaurant for a lovely dinner, where we got picked up by two of her friends in a taxi that took us into town. First we went to a really fancy coctailbar at the top of a shoppingmall, before moving on to a pub where we had five reagensglasses each with shots in them. They all tasted quite horrible, so i didnt manage to finish them, but it was good fun. The next place we went was quite posh, and the average age was about 40. i think i spotted about three people that MIGHT have been under thirthy. Our night ended at a club, where it was really hot, really crowded and really busy, before heading off home. There actually was this old guy in the que for the taxis, that told me he really liked my english accent ![]()
After a good nights sleep in Amys bed (thanks for sleeping on the campbed Amy! :)), we had breakfast and watched Holly Oaks, a really cheesy tv-show, and then went on to meet up with Louise. I got a small tour around the university of glasgow, and its really nice! While waiting for Louise we had coffee in starbucks, and ended up just sitting there chatting when out third party arrived, before Amy had to get to work and Louise and I walked back home to her flat. Of course it started pouring down again, and we were both drenched when we arrived. Had some toast, and watched “Juno”, and then Louise made me a lovely lasagne. The plan for the evening was to go to some other girls flat, and make posters for an amnesty international event, but AGAIN the taxi didnt turn up, and as we were all quite tired and cold we ended up staying at home. Im quite happy about it, cause it means ill have more energy to go shopping tomorrow, and i got to write this ![]()
